Having capacity for 700 students, Ideal English School is headed by CEO José Paulo Pereira Silva, who talks about the revolutionary methodology that has benefited foreigners learning English, preparing them to officially become Global Citizens.
What is the formula for success? Is it necessary to set goals to overcome barriers and achieve professional fulfillment? CEO José Paulo Pereira Silva, from Ideal English School, will inaugurate the school’s new headquarters, now at International Drive, in Orlando, with capacity for 700 students. The event will take place on Wednesday, 23rd, starting at 6pm, when guests will visit the modern facilities of the teaching complex – 10 classrooms, digital whiteboard and state-of-the-art technology to provide practical learning with highly relevant results.
The revolutionary teaching method of the Ideal English School, created by the businessman, has helped foreigners who have difficulties speaking English, breaking once and for all the barriers that make it difficult for not only Brazilians, but also people of other non-speaking English nationalities, to enter the American job market. And what once represented an obstacle in verbal communication has become solvable – a step towards complete communicational freedom.
“I have developed a methodology that is practical, simple, and functional. In learning English the first step is listening, then speaking, reading and writing. This process is not applied in English schools in the United States. English here is not conversational. The student needs conversation to get off the ground and then get the results he needs to advance in the country. We prepare the student to grow,” says José Paulo.
“At the Ideal English School we have a grand piano, and every two weeks we will have English classes with music. The student will listen to the music, and then sing it. It is the practice of listening, hearing before speaking. The student will receive an envelope with the lyrics of the song he or she will hear. The student will also be able to suggest the song he or she wants to sing”, tells us the CEO.
“We will also have classes on typical foods from different countries. The students are going to talk about these countries, their culture and curiosities. They will listen to the explanations and then speak, through an interactive procedure. To learn English, it has to be fun, exciting! And for this, we will take the students to a camping site, where they will be able to listen and speak, in an interactive and relaxed way.”
“The goal of ‘Ideal English School’ is for the student to master the English language in the most appropriate way , in order to have more opportunities in the job market, in the areas of Real State, Entertainment, tourism, gastronomy, as well as in construction and others. We teach the student to be a Global Citizen. Expanding the possibilities of better assimilation of the American language, culture and habits. No one should be held hostage by fear. There are people who are afraid to answer the phone because they don’t know how to speak English”, he adds.
Nowadays, Ideal English School is located in Orlando, and plans to set up branches in Miami, Tampa, Boca Raton, Jacksonville, Windermere, Kissimmee, Celebration, Los Angeles and Newark (NJ). “The guideline is to have ten thousand students in five years in our units. We are working toward that, and we will get there.”
Visionary gaze
Born in São Paulo and based in Orlando, where he lives with his family, José Paulo Pereira Silva founded the “Grupo Ideal Trends”, which became one of the largest conglomerates in Latin America with 30 companies in different niches: Education, cosmetics, marketing, dentistry, technology and others – with customers in more than 30 countries.
The businessman recalls that when he moved to Orlando in 2018, he learned, through an article, that 89% of Brazilians living in the US only speak Portuguese – the Brazilian community consists of over 1.8 million people. And that most of them work too much, with no time spare to study the language. “In Brazil”, adds José Paulo, “only three percent of the population speak English, and that in the Hispanic Community, 80% do not speak English.”
“These are people with technical potential, but they don’t thrive in the country because they don’t master the language. Many schools here do not have an adequate methodology for these people. The schools here have technical English, preparatory for the student to enroll in college institutions.”
“Our differential is that the student has an adequate method to speak English, with conversation classes, which is fundamental in the process of learning. In our headquarters in Orlando, for example, the methodology is a success and we already have more than 100 students, and we are preparing to grow with new units to better serve students,” he celebrates.
When asked about living in Orlando with his family, the choice of Florida to expand his business, José Paulo was emphatic: “I chose Orlando to settle here with my family because it is a place with top-notch logistics, I am four hours from the West Coast, such as California, nine hours from São Paulo, in Brazil, and ten hours from France. This allows me to strategically travel for business. Besides, we have an active Brazilian community here, and our goal, as has been said, is to help our community, giving foreigners opportunities for professional growth”, he highlights.
